Volunteers for American Quilter’s Society / Donation

 In Volunteer Opportunity

The American Quilter’s Society is looking for volunteers to guard emergency doors at the Pavilion during quilt week.  The American Quilter’s Society will be donating $1,000 to the McCracken County RSVP if we can get enough volunteers to fill the following positions:

Job:

Chairs will be provided to all volunteers to sit in front of the emergency exit to block patrons from using the emergency exit it a non-emergency sitatuation.   Six volunteers are needed for each shift to cover the 6 exits.  Each shift is 4 1/2 hours, so feel free to bring a book to read.

When:

Tuesday, April 26, 2011: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Wednesday, April 27: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Thursday, April 28: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Friday, April 29: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Saturday, April 30: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Where:

The “Bubble” Pavilion at the river, next to the Convention Center

This is a very easy job, but also very important – if the emergency exits are opened, it will disturb the airflow in the bubble, so the exits are only to be used in an emergency sitation.  If you are interested in helping out, please call Leslie at 442-8993.
