Quilt Week Volunteers Needed!!!
It is that time of year again – Quilt Week! RSVP volunteers did such an amazing job last year, we have been asked back to help again! This is a GREAT volunteer opportunity requiring NO skill – you will only have to sit in a chair to block the emergency exits from being used in a non-emergency situation – that’s all! This is one of the biggest events this year and so we need many volunteers. Volunteers will get free parking near the Pavilion (also known as The Bubble) or if you can’t drive yourself and need a ride, transportation will be provided.
We will be providing a snacks and water for each shift and you will have the opportunity every ½ hour to get up and stretch and check out the exhibits. Every volunteer will be given a pass to check out other quilt exhibits throughout the week. Every volunteer who participated last year had nothing but great things to say about it and we are hoping to have the same experience this year.
Shifts needing to be filled are:
Tuesday, April 24 … 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Wednesday, April 25 … 9:00 am – 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 6 pm
Thursday, April 26 … 9:00 am – 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 6 pm
Friday, April 27 … 9:00 am – 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 6 pm
Saturday, April 28 … 9 am – 1 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm
If you can fill any of these shifts, please call us at (270) 442-8993 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember, the American Quilter’s Society will be donating $1,000 to the McCracken County RSVP if we can fill all volunteer positions, so volunteering for this event helps twice!
